"It all started in April 1913 when 12 or 14 of us would trek down to the old schoolhouse on Filbert Street between Bank and Branch Streets where we studied parliamentary law, literature, music, art...In the year 1925-1926, the club motto was introduced ~ 'In large things Unity, in small things Liberty, in all things Charity."
~ Mrs. William Dyer, Sr. First President of The Woman's Club of Medford
The Woman's Club of Medford offers an opportunity to women to be of service to the community and to foster friendship among women while promoting interest in diverse areas of community service. The club was founded as an organization where women come together with a common goal of making the community in which we live a better place.
