Our Civic Engagement and Outreach programs are designed to partner with local organizations in order to to provide support, bring joy and make a difference through fundraising, direct donations and other means.
We have partnered with Operation Yellow Ribbon to fill their care packages with goodies and toiletry items. We have also participated in their cookie drives for holiday treats sent to the troops.
The Woman's Club of Medford's Feeding Families Initiative helps provide much needed food to local, underprivileged families by donating grocery gift cards to the local school district, donating frozen turkeys and other supplies to a local school food bank and by supporting the South Jersey Food Bank.
For many years, The Woman's Club of Medford has striven to bring some sunshine to those veterans confined to local hospitals and home care facilities. Currently we create almost 100 valentine's cards for our Valentines for Vets program which are dropped off at the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home - Vineland to be distributed on Valentines Day.
The Woman's Club of Medford has partnered with the township on many projects through the years from the banners and flower baskets along Main Street to park cleanups, we always step up when asked.
While we all are enjoying our Thanksgiving feasts, we are still being protected by our local police officers. The Woman's Club of Medford has, for many years, been providing Thanksgiving dinner for those officers who find themselves on the duty roster that day. And we will continue this tradition for many years to come.
We have helped The Lauren Rose Albert Foundation fill Mother Day bags for underprivileged mothers. The foundation aids these mothers in achieving better lives for themselves and their families. Read about them here:
For many year, the members of The Woman's Club of Medford have hosted the Samaritan Hospice Tree of Remembrance Lighting in early December.
Our members decorate for the Medford Police Department's Operation Santa which benefits underprivileged children in our area.
In addition to supporting the NJSFWC 2020-2022 Special State Project ~ Operation Chill Out ~ our members have participated in many projects over the years to support and feed the homeless.
